THE WORK
This piece captures the vaulted ceiling of the Jesuit Church in Vienna. As the largest work in the collection, it utilizes sharp beams of light to create geometric shapes across the baroque stone. The deep blue palette represents an infinite sky, with thin layers of wash demonstrating how light can make heavy architecture appear to float upward.
THE INSPIRATION
The sky is intentionally abstract, because paradise has no clear form.
Fragments of light break into triangles — a quiet symbol of the Holy Trinity, forming a luminous pyramid that draws the eye upward.
Soft blue tones carry the feeling of the infinite, something distant and sacred, yet deeply personal.
