THE WORK
This piece uses sharp vertical lines to guide the eye upward, contrasting the solid building with a light sky. The windows and facade details use precise strokes that reflect my drafting background. Broad washes of color in the background keep the piece feeling open and airy rather than crowded.
THE INSPIRATION
Part of the Light of Vienna collection, this 2024 work focuses on the balance between heavy masonry and light. It is a portrait of structural rhythm and the way architecture dominates a street corner, capturing the quiet power of these stone giants as they meet the sky.
