THE WORK
The twin spires of the Votivkirche climb into a sky of drifting rose and blue, their white lacework stone catching the first warmth of the day. Between them, the gabled roofline with its patterned tiles holds the shadow of the street below; an autumn tree burns quietly against the grey facade. Stone that reads like light, light that behaves like stone.

THE INSPIRATION
Some buildings were made to be looked up at. The eye climbs them the way a prayer might: from the dark of the street, past the patterned roofs, into whatever the sky is offering that morning.
