THE WORK
A small sailboat moves alone across pale morning water, a soft white sun hanging low behind its sails. Bands of blue, rose and violet fall through the sky like the last of the night giving way. The boat is small, the sea is calm, and the day is only beginning.
THE INSPIRATION
Morning, and the sea is new again. The sun is pale, the wind is young, and the boat sets out, not because the water is safe, but because that is what boats are for.
