THE WORK
Two gaff-rigged sailboats glide across a pale morning, sails the color of sand and shell. The big sloop leans close in the foreground; a second follows in the distance. Soft ribbons of rose and violet rise from the horizon. The wind is light, the water is calm, and both boats have given themselves to it.
THE INSPIRATION
You cannot command the wind.
You can only trim the sails and trust it, and suddenly you are not fighting the world,
you are moving with it.
