THE WORK
A Viennese clock tower at the exact moment the day changes shift. The domed turret rises into a sky moving from blue to rose; gilded wings flare at its corners, catching the last light. The clock face reads five. Below, the long cornice of the facade plunges in steep perspective toward the street, where a single passerby walks through the glow. Ornament, light and time — all in the same frame.
THE INSPIRATION
Five o'clock is the city's honest hour: work loosens its grip, the light turns generous, and everyone below the clock becomes briefly aware of the sky. The building has announced this hour for a century. It has never once been ignored.
