THE WORK
This piece captures a facade bathed in the late afternoon sun. Soft watercolor washes are utilized to make the stone appear to radiate heat, while the edges of the building are slightly blurred to convey the hazy quality of pre-sunset light. This technique allows the rigid architecture to feel soft and alive as the day transitions into evening.

THE INSPIRATION
Part of the Light of Vienna collection, this painting explores the idea that buildings possess a pulse revealed only by specific angles of light. It captures a permanent moment of warmth and sunshine, evoking the quiet comfort and safety found along a golden city street.
