THE WORK
A quiet skyline at dawn — a domed roof, slender spires, warm towers in peach and rust. Above them, faint cathedral arches rise into the open sky, drawn in pale blue and a single thread of red. A lone figure stands at the water's edge, looking out. Below, the city dissolves into its own reflection. The vaults overhead belong to no building — they are made of light and air.
THE INSPIRATION
The arches in the sky are our dreams — our illusions, our visions of what could be.
They have no walls, no floor, and yet they arch over the small and ordinary day, shaping it, lifting it, giving the plainest street a ceiling of wonder.
What we imagine is not less real than what we live.
It is the greater part.
