THE WORK
A rope suspension bridge hangs between two banks of tall pines, washed in blue, lilac and warm peach. The trees rise like quiet sentinels into a glowing sky; two small lamps burn at either end of the bridge, marking the way across. The span dips low in the middle, fragile and swaying, the only thread joining one shore of forest to the other.
THE INSPIRATION
Two small lights, one at each end,
and a fragile thread between them, that is often all connection is: something that trembles under our weight and holds us anyway.
