THE WORK
A stone arch bridge crosses still water at dawn, washed in rose, lilac and deep blue. Soft trees crowd both banks; a small flock of birds lifts into the pink sky. The single arch and its reflection meet in the water to form a perfect circle, two halves completing each other. Everything is quiet, doubled, joined.
THE INSPIRATION
The bridge reaches across the water, and the water reaches back, together they close the circle
that neither could complete alone.
This is what we are always trying to do: to reach the other side, to make two shores into one whole.
