THE WORK
Three sails lean together in washes of turquoise and ultramarine, more wind than boat, shapes dissolving into the same blue that carries them. A single dark mast rises; the water beneath is only a few quick strokes. Speed, salt and air, painted almost without outlines.
THE INSPIRATION
At full speed the boat disappears, there is only wind, water, and the thin line where you hold on.
Freedom is when the border between you and the element dissolves.
