THE WORK
A kitchen set for the quiet part of the day. A linen cloth thrown over the table, black chairs with woven seats pulled slightly out, a brass pendant hanging low over everything. Behind, a marble backsplash runs its dark veins along the wall; a pan and a cutting board wait on their hooks. The light is the color of parchment.
THE INSPIRATION
No one sets a table only for eating. It is set for talk, for silence, for the hour after the plates are gone. Four chairs, one cloth, one lamp: the whole architecture of belonging.
