THE WORK
Santorini at dusk, washed almost entirely in blue. White houses cascade down toward the sea; a domed church and bell tower rise on the right, crowned with crosses. Bougainvillea spills over a wall. A lone figure descends the stone steps toward the water, alone in one of the most beautiful places on earth. The sea fades into pale hills, and a thin band of warm light breaks the blue at the horizon.
THE INSPIRATION
The most beautiful island in the world, and still, one figure on the steps, alone.
Beauty does not fill the empty seat beside us.
A blue dome, a bright sea, a town built for postcards, none of it answers the quiet question the heart carries down every staircase: where, in all this beauty, is home?
